New Art Exhibit at FCCB:

Images from Israel and Palestine

BY LOTTA SUTER

In February 2020, just before COVID hit, my Jewish  Friend Sibylle and I finally made our long-planned  journey to Israel and Palestine - a land that is holy  to many religions, cultures and peoples. The beauty  of the historic buildings and the “biblical” landscape  was breath-taking. But we were also deeply moved  by how much the decades long conflict in the Middle  East had affected the everyday life in Jerusalem, in  the Westbank (Bethlehem) and the Jordan Valley.  The pictures in this exhibition present a few of our  impressions from our visit five years ago, before the  current tragic round of conflict. - Lotta Suter
